Lloyd’s Approves Waypoint as A&H Coverholder for ArgoGlobal

LONDON – 23 January 2019 – Waypoint Underwriting Management, LLC today announced it has obtained coverholder approval to underwrite Accident and Health (A&H) products on behalf of ArgoGlobal Syndicate 1200 at Lloyd’s. Waypoint is a specialty managing general underwriter that offers insurance and reinsurance solutions to clients in the U.S.

“This is great news for us and our clients, as it gives us added capacity and capabilities in our target markets. Becoming an approved coverholder at Lloyd’s also reflects the high quality of our team,” said Joe Horan, Waypoint managing partner.

For ArgoGlobal, the move represents an expansion of the company’s footprint in North America. ArgoGlobal A&H Class underwriter Adam Zawia commented: “We are excited to work with Waypoint to expand ArgoGlobal’s access to A&H expertise in the U.S. Waypoint has a proven track record in delivering profitable business, and the underwriter will complement Argo’s high-quality team in London.”

ArgoGlobal, currently ranked by Lloyd’s as top quartile for claims management, specializes in writing worldwide A&H, as well as property, marine, energy, specialty and non-U.S. liability insurance.
